Welcome to the John F. Ward PTA website!!!

I encourage you to browse this website to find out what PTA is, who is involved in PTA, what activities, events, and programs are upcoming, when the next meeting is, and find out what PTA has in store for you. Also on this website you can find information such as the school calendar, a list of our teachers and what grades they teach, links on various resources to check grades, prepay lunch accounts, see class curriculum and more.

Why join PTA?

  • To keep the communication lines open between teachers, parents and the school. An involved parent, is an informed parent.
  • Studies have shown that membership in PTA provides your child and other children around you with a greater chance of achieving in school and making better grades.
  • To learn ways to keep children safe and involved in school. PTA is the place to gain that knowledge.
  • To be a part of a group that joins families and schools to make parental and school involvement easier.
  • To provide a voice for the children.

Membership Dues Update

There has been an increase in state and national dues for PTA. The total amount of membership is now $7.50. The breakdown is as follows:

  •  Local dues are $3.00.
  •  State and national dues total $4.50 ($2.25 for state and $2.25 for national.)

To join PTA, fill out the membership form and include it and your check made out to WARD PTA in an envelope and place in lock box in the front office or with your child’s teacher.
